I admit:

A part of me (my ego) read this article with some gratification.

With my confirmation bias on overdrive, the article kind of bolsters, supports, proves me right in my point of view:

"Communication needs (largely) to be done by communication professionals and experts with years of experience".

Another part in me (the collaborator, team player), just goes "challenge accepted"!

  • Communication experts with years of experience work on how to talk to audiences and
  • scientist as subject matter experts to get the facts right on what to communicate.

Reading the article, it looks like there is no silver bullet, but the need for better researched and more effective training.

Until we have such training, let's work together, scientist and communication experts with years of experience.
