Could be well-placed, given Threads' integration, although X has tried something similar but "has struggled to keep advertisers amid the controversial and toxic content that’s often shared on the network", and because it is"incentivizing posts that generate a lot of replies... leading to more clickbait across the platform".
It might be interesting to see how the potential to make money may change the character of the Fediverse.
