This short video explains Service Pages, and is followed by some additional notes:

What are Service Pages?

Use Service Pages to set out what you do, or to add value to a collection of resources on your Hub.

Each Service Page has two parts:

  • a simple page of content
  • followed by your most recent Highlighted content with any tags in the Page's tag bundle.

Each Page also links to all resources on your Hub with any tags in the Service Page's tag bundle, allowing your visitors to explore further.

So each Service Page summarises what you do in a particular area, and guides readers to your most relevant content. This makes it more useful for your audience than a simple service description, while the content it highlights will include relevant Stuff you Think and Do.

For each Service Page, you therefore define a bundle of tags. Apart from defining what appears in the Service Page, these tags also define when the Service Page appears: whenever the content your Visitor is browsing has tags in a Services Page’s bundle, a link to the Service Page appears on the left.

How do I Manage them?

As the above video shows, simply:

  • be logged in
  • mouseover 'Profile', top right
  • click 'My services'
  • edit an existing one, or create a new one. Each has:
    • a Title
    • a Body, which is where you describe your service
    • the service's tag bundle.

The 'edit service page' screen, finally, allows you to delete the service page.
