Towards Leaflet for Scientists - Leaflet Lab Notes

my notes ( ? )

The producers would "love to make Leaflet better for scientists", and set out some ideas how.

  • Annotations: "Semble is working on a lexicon for inline annotations which sounds cool and may have some overlap with Leaflet... Something like post references is closely related"
  • References and backlinks, referencing Semble's "trackbacking... basically a backlink + notification... I can link to your post in mine and you get a notification... [also] between apps... Making comments quotable or deep-linkable would also be quite useful "
  • customisable post reactions: not just likes.

They're also "thinking about community tools broadly — things like tags and post collections or "meta-publications" that could curate posts from many authors, perhaps with corresponding custom feeds."
