3 Drupal sites for development (2009-2011)

This triumvirate of sites, which closed during an EC reorganisation, were ahead of the curve.

For example, in 2010 we migrated 1000s of articles from the ACP Courier magazine's old Typo3 site into Drupal. In the process we semantically processed them using Opencalais, mapping ‘tag bundles’ to site themes and countries to create new thematic and geographic interfaces. The underlying tags were also used to create ‘recommended reading’ links from each article using taxonomy matching. All in 3 languages.

The Edulink and ACP-Science & Technology Programme community sites were early examples of content marketing and curation strategies for funding Programmes. We migrated in all the projects, and used them to recruit the project managers as the core of the site membership, giving them editorial privileges attached to their project. Interactive Calls for Proposals for annual conferences and online community management then stimulated the online community.
