Innovation in tech is rarely if ever short term... We’re being taken on this journey and it has been planned for a long time... structured innovation approach to an end goal is important for the journalism industry to learn from...The question the journalism industry has to ask itself is what journey are we taking the consumer on?
Strategic innovation has been difficult for journalism in the past because... it has been driven by exceptionally short term goals...daily editorial deadlines driven by the news cycle and advertising sales targets...As the pace of technological advancement only increases we can no longer continue with this approach.
