We conclude ... there is no empirical evidence that warrants any strong worries about filter bubbles. Nevertheless, the debate about filter bubbles is important. Personalisation on news sites is still at an infant stage... if personalisation technology improves, and personalised news content becomes people’s main information source, problems for our democracy could indeed arise
