A news editor was appointed... everything went quiet... commitment to carry out monitoring in response to the Wilson report had been abandoned... too costly, got in the way of journalism, and did not yield helpful results...the BBC was once more its own judge and jury

as well as delivering impartiality, the BBC must have in place... robust systems which deliver it... The case being outlined in the judicial review is that only rigorous monitoring ... can illuminate and ensure impartiality
